The Lost Cave of Nerga

This nautical activity is the perfect way to spend a day out and discover one of the best-kept secrets of our coastline – a small, beautiful, semi-submerged cave.

If you have a love for adventure and a desire to immerse yourself in the wonders of nature, this excursion is perfect for you.

We will navigate a total of 15 nautical miles along the spectacular coast of O Morrazo on a boat ride accompanied by the iconic cormorants and seagulls of the estuary. Along the way, we will pass the mussel rafts and, with a little luck, you might even catch sight of dolphins that are often seen in the area!

Once we reach our destination, we will anchor and prepare to swin to the cave. You will be provided with everything you need, including a mask and fins. Those who prefer to stay dry, can stay on the boat and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.

Inside the cave, let yourself be captivated by the sensations and the rhythm of the sea. Take in the richness of the seabed and the mysterious atmosphere of this cave as beams of light shine through a narrow opening in the rocky dome with fresh water trickling down the walls.

After our adventure, we will enjoy a picnic on board, which can either be brought from home or provided by us for a small extra fee.
We will then head back along the coast before returning to port. You will return home with unforgettable memories and the feeling of having lived an experience in which you truely connected with the sea.

• Tour times are from 10:00 to 14:00 or from 16:00 to 20:00.
• The departure and arrival point is the Real Club Náutico de Vigo.
• Picnic available for €10 per person.
• If you have a light wetsuit and you get cold quickly, it is a good idea to bring it. The water temperature is around 16º-20º in summer time.
• This activity is available all year round.
• A minimum group of 6 people is necessary for the trip to go ahead.
• The route and schedule may be modified due to weather or safety issues based on the crew’s experience; this decision will be made by the skipper. Your safety is of the utmost importance.
