Reservation and Cancellation Policy

Reservations

To make a booking, a deposit of 30% of the total price must be paid up front. The remaining 70% must be paid in full at least 30 days before departure.

To confirm a booking in any of the Sailing Experiences, Nautical Licences or the Sailing Academy, total payment must be paid up front. For the Nautical Licence Packages or Xacobean Nautical Routes, there is an option of paying in instalments. See the relevant product page for futher information.

Cancelations

Sailway reserves the right to cancel services with no additional compensation given in the following circumstances:

In the last two cases rescheduling of the activity will be an option with no additional cost.

• Client´s failure to make payments on time.
• If safety is not guaranteed due to weather conditions, causing the activity to be cancelled.
• Minimum number of passengers for group activities is not met.

Cancelations policy once bookings have been made:

• For chartering boats with a departure date between 1st of June and the 30th of September: 30% of the total cost must be paid for cancelations made 30 days prior to departure. 100% of the total cost must be paid for cancelations made within 30 days of departure.
• For chartering boats with a departure date between 1st of October and the 31st of May: 30% of the total cost must be paid for cancelations made 7 days prior to departure. 100% of the total cost must be paid for cancelations made within 7 days of departure.
• No refunds are posible for Experiences, Nautical Licences or the Sailing Academy.

Refunds or changes to booking dates:

Clients can request a change to the booking date (subject to Sailway Availability) or a refund in the following two circumstances:

• In cases of force majeure, providing proof that justifies it (closed borders, illness or death of immediate family members).
• Orange weather alerts (except for official nautical license training where Sailway reserves the right to cancel).
